The beauty of the work is in its simplicity - a large circle with a hollow is sharply delineated by a vertical straight line and right angle on either side about mid-way. The effect is two side-by-side heads facing opposite directions; the hinted at eyes (different on either side), nose and mouth reveal nothing, invoking the title.

Born in Russia, Serge was raised and attended school in the Ukraine. He graduated the Uzhgorod Professional College with a Diploma with Honours in Wood Carving in 1982. During the 80's and into the 90's, the artist participated in numerous Ukrainian and International exhibitions and became a member of the Zakarpatska Province Association of Professional Artists and the Young Association of Professional Artists under the Zakarpatska branch of Ukrainian Union of Artists. Serge immigrated to Canada in 2000, he lives in Vancouver.
