Over the course of just two days, a new SculptureWalk takes shape — turning familiar streets into an open-air gallery filled with fresh perspectives, bold forms and unexpected moments.

Installation weekend for the 2026 SculptureWalk exhibition takes place May 1–2, 2026, and it’s one of the most exciting times to experience the walk.

If you’ve only experienced SculptureWalk once everything is in place, installation weekend offers something entirely different.

Cranes, trucks and artists move throughout downtown as sculptures arrive and are carefully installed in their new homes. One by one, pieces begin to appear — some towering overhead, others inviting a closer look — until the city is transformed.

It’s a rare chance to see not just the finished artwork, but the process behind it.

What You’ll Discover This Year

The 2026 exhibition brings a new mix of sculptures from artists across the country, each offering a distinct perspective.

As you explore, you’ll encounter:

Every turn offers something different — and during installation weekend, you might even catch a first look before anyone else.

Plan Your Route

Start your SculptureWalk experience at the SculptureWalk Visitor Center on the second floor of the Washington Pavilion at 301 S. Main Ave.

From there, the route winds along Phillips Avenue, stretches to the East Bank along Eighth Street, passes beneath the Arc of Dreams and continues toward Falls Park before looping back through downtown.

Or simply start anywhere and explore at your own pace — that’s part of the experience.
