The Red Fox is found in abundance throughout South Dakota and the Midwest. Often the scourge of poultry raisers, here I have shown him stalking some prey, perhaps someone’s prize rooster.

Award-winning sculptor/painter, Delmar Pettigrew's works can be found in collections del_pettigrew.jpgas far away as Kuwait, and as close as the cities of Green River and Gillette in Wyoming. His work is represented by galleries in Cheyenne in Wyoming; Aspen, Beaver Creek, Denver, San Luis, and Loveland in Colorado; in Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Harbor Springs, Michigan.

Pettigrew has studied with numerous nationally known wildlife artists such as; Walter Matia, Chapel, and Floyd Tennyson Dewitt. Painting workshops include; Peggy-Kroll Roberts, Ken Auster, Kim English, Michelle Torrez, Dan Mieduch, Dan Robinson and Ken Backhaus. He also credits his wife, acclaimed sculptor Martha Pettigrew, for her insightful critiques.

His work has been accepted in the prestigious Art of the Animal Kingdom X & XIII, Bennington Center for the Arts, Bennington, Vermont; O.V.A.L. Wildlife Exhibition, Henderson, Kentucky; Audubon Wildlife Exhibition, Museum of Nebraska Art (MONA), Kearney, Nebraska; Two person exhibition, Plains Museum, Lincoln, Nebraska; and for many years at, the Scottsdale Celebration of Art, Scottsdale, Arizona.
